What are Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (F-Gas)?
F-gases is a family of man-made gases which are used in industrial applications. Used primarily as they don’t damage the ozone layer, they are often used in place of ozone draining substances. However, F-gases are powerful greenhouse gases which global warming affect is 23000 times greater than carbon dioxide.
F-Gas Regulations adopted first adopted in 2006 succeeded at steadying the EU F-gas emissions at the 2010 level. Since then new regulations applied from January 1st 2015, aim to strengthen these existing measures and introduces a number of far-reaching changes.
Compliance with F-Gas Regulations is a mandatory requirement.
How Low Carbon Europe can help
F-Gas Regulations require that operators of stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment be inspected, installed, maintained and serviced in accordance with the regulations for systems containing fluoridated gas and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS).
F-Gas Regulations require systems containing 3kg or more to be inspected at least every 12 months.
We can carry out the mandatory inspections which offers you peace of mind that your organisation is compliant.
